Same palette, different engine
The strongest abstract trios keep one colourway and vary the form — an arch, a sun and a brush-stroke study all in dawn, or three different geometric engines in the Bauhaus primaries. The eye reads the shared colour as a set and the changing shapes as a sequence. Three of the same engine in three colourways is the louder alternative.
