About Madten

Madten is a small studio making wall art two ways. Our originals — star maps, Art Deco posters, botanical studies, national-park prints — are drawn and typeset in-house in a restrained, gallery-grade style meant to live on a wall for years, not a season. Our vintage pieces — Audubon's birds, Haeckel's sea life, the great natural-history plates — are carefully restored from the original engravings: sourced from public collections, cleaned, colour-trued and prepared at museum resolution.

Drawn, not generated

Original designs are built as precise vector artwork and rendered to exact print resolution, so they stay crisp at any size — from a 12×18 print to a 24×36 statement piece. Restorations begin from the finest public-domain scans of the genuine works. Nothing here is AI-generated, scraped, or borrowed; the botanical names are the universal Latin binomials, free for everyone to use.

Made to order

We don't hold inventory. When you order, your print is produced fresh on heavyweight matte fine-art paper by our global production partner, Gelato, and shipped from the facility nearest you. It's better for the planet and means every print arrives in pristine, just-made condition.
