Information we collect
You give us: your name, email, shipping address, and order details when you place an order or contact us. Payment details (card numbers) are entered directly with our payment processor — we never see or store them. Collected automatically: basic device and usage data (IP address, browser, pages viewed) via cookies and analytics, to keep the site working and understand what's useful.
How we use it
To process and fulfill your order, provide customer support, send order and shipping updates, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and improve the store. We send marketing email only if you opt in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe — payment processing (PCI-compliant; handles your card details directly).
- Gelato — our print & fulfillment partner (receives your name and shipping address to make and deliver your order).
- Resend — transactional email delivery (order confirmations, shipping updates).
- Google (Analytics & Ads), Meta, and PostHog — privacy-respecting analytics and advertising measurement.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies (to run the cart and checkout) and analytics/advertising cookies (to measure traffic and ad performance). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential features may not work without them. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on.
Data retention
We keep order records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, then delete or anonymize them.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and ask us to stop marketing to you, by emailing hello@madten.com. We'll respond within the time required by applicable law.
California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell your personal information. To exercise these rights, email hello@madten.com — we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
International visitors
We operate from the United States, and our fulfillment partner ships worldwide. If you order from outside the US, your information will be processed in the US and other countries where our providers operate.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (including encrypted connections and PCI-compliant payment handling) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access to it.
Children's privacy
Madten is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new date below.
