Where it works

Broad dark green leaves dominate this 1835 Lycaste plate, with two small greenish-white blooms, a yellow lip and dark pseudobulbs on a cream ground. Mostly foliage, it suits a green-leaning study or a hallway with oak furniture at 16×24 in natural wood, and calms a gallery wall of brighter orchids.
