The illustrators
The flower print reached its peak in two places: Redouté's stipple-engraved roses and lilies for the Empress Joséphine (1817–24), and Curtis's Botanical Magazine, which documented every new bloom arriving in 19th-century Europe. We restore both, plate by plate, at fine-art resolution — this is the real thing, not a modern imitation of it.
