Moody & Dark Wall Art
The dark end of the catalog — antique fungi and anatomy plates, midnight-navy star charts, oxblood Deco, gilt botanicals on plum and oxblood grounds. Atmosphere over brightness.

What makes a print moody
Depth, not darkness for its own sake: soft antique colour on aged paper (the Sowerby fungi), precise engraving against shadow (the anatomy atlases), gold constellation lines sinking into navy, a gilded maple leaf on oxblood. Each holds detail you find slowly — the opposite of poster-bright.
Where they work
Dark and half-lit rooms: the study, a downstairs loo with personality, the hallway, a bedroom that runs to deep paint. Moody prints also anchor a gallery wall of lighter pieces — one dark anchor per row keeps a wall from floating away.
