Where it works
Sobotta's 1920 schematic of the eyeball's blood supply: a globe of fine blue veins and red arteries converging on the pupil, between blocks of German text on cream. For an optometrist's or ophthalmologist's consulting room, hung with The Eye in Horizontal Section, at 12×18 in a black frame.

Framing. A slim black or dark wood frame with no mat (black sharpens an engraving, dark wood warms a colour plate), hung at eye level so the plate can be read.
