Where it works

Two whole Ohio Pippin apples by Steadman, 1920, in freckled olive green with a faint yellow blush, stacked on an aged cream page. The all-green plate suits a kitchen with white or sage walls at 12×18 in natural wood, paired with the Grand Sultan.

Size. We'd hang this one at 12×18. Prints at 12×18, 16×24 in — 12×18 for a shelf, desk or a gallery-wall grid; 16×24 above a desk, console or in a hallway.

Framing. The label ground is its own mat: a slim black or natural wood frame, no extra mat.
