Where it works
Audubon's great black-backed gull, a huge black-winged, white-bodied bird with an open yellow bill crouched on a brown bank, one wing raised across the page, on cream. The scale suits a coastal living room, stairwell or entry on white or gray walls at 24×36 in black, with his Herring Gull.
