AI art finder: describe the art you want
Write what you are after the way you would say it to a gallery assistant: “moody dark green botanicals for my study”, “calm Japanese prints for a long hallway”, “Art Deco posters for a bar cart under $60”. The finder turns your words into filters (style, colour, room, subject, artist, orientation, budget) and shows the prints that match.
Every filter it chose appears as a chip you can remove, so you can see why each print is there and widen the search in one tap. Every result is a print we make; nothing is invented.
Your words are sent to Anthropic’s Claude model to be turned into search filters, and are not stored by us.
How it works
- An AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) reads your description and picks filters from our own collections: movements and subjects, colour pages, room pages, named artists, subject words, portrait or landscape, and a budget.
- Our catalogue search then does the choosing, by rule: works in those collections, nearer the top when they match your colours and room, no more than three by one artist unless you named one.
- A wall colour is not an art colour: say “for my navy walls” and it looks for gold, yellow and warm tones that read well on navy, not more navy.
- Works with nudity are left out unless you ask for them, and a child's room only ever gets works chosen for children.
Worked examples
- “Moody dark green botanical prints for my study” → vintage botanical + dark green + moody + study: gilt botanicals and dark-ground plates.
- “Something calm and Japanese for a long hallway, landscape” → ukiyo-e + Japanese zen + hallway + landscape: the Great Wave, Red Fuji, Hiroshige's Nihonbashi.
- “Art Deco posters for a bar cart, under $60” → Art Deco + cocktails + up to $60: café and champagne posters at 12×18 or 16×24 in.
- “Something by Hammershøi, quiet and grey” → Hammershøi only: Interior, Sunlight on the Floor; Moonlight, Strandgade 30.

Questions
Is the art finder free?
Yes, with no sign-up. Search as often as you like.
Is what I type stored?
Not by us. Your words are sent to Anthropic's Claude model to be turned into search filters, and the filters come straight back.
Can it find a specific painting?
Yes: name it or its artist and it searches titles and the artist's work. To identify a painting from a photo, use the painting identifier.
Why are some results not exactly what I typed?
The finder matches what we print. Remove a filter chip to widen the search, or describe it another way.
