Physical Therapy Wall Art — Muscle, Skeleton, Hand & Foot Prints
The plates a physiotherapist, sports therapist, massage therapist or trainer hangs: the muscular system from Vesalius (1543), Albinus (1747), Eustachi (1714) and Sobotta (1919), region by region, the skeleton from the front, back and side, and the bones, muscles, ligaments and tendons of the hand, the foot and the ankle. Composed as wall art, so they hang in a treatment room or a gym without reading as a chart.

What to hang in a treatment room
Sobotta's regional plates do the explaining: the muscles of the back in three layers, the chest and shoulder, the upper arm, the thigh, the lower leg and foot, hung at 16×24 beside the table so a client can see the muscle being worked. The ligaments of the foot and ankle and the ligaments and tendons of the hand cover the sprains and strains that fill a caseload. For the gym wall or the reception, a whole figure: a Vesalius or Albinus muscle man at 24×36, or the skeleton front and back as a pair.
The atlases behind them
Four works supply the plates. Andreas Vesalius's De humani corporis fabrica of 1543 gives the fourteen woodcut muscle men; Bartolomeo Eustachi's Tabulae anatomicae, engraved in the sixteenth century and published in 1714, the écorchés, deep muscles and skeleton; Bernhard Siegfried Albinus's Tabulae sceleti et musculorum of 1747, the engraved muscle figures in four orders and the skeletons in their landscapes; and Johannes Sobotta's Atlas der deskriptiven Anatomie des Menschen of 1919, the chromolithographed plates by region. Every specimen edition carries its atlas, plate and date in the caption.
Sizes, framing and sets
Vesalius, Albinus and Sobotta plates print up to 24×36; the Eustachi engravings up to 16×24. Each is offered full-bleed or as a captioned specimen on a cream ground, on 250 gsm archival paper, unframed or framed in black or dark wood with a plexiglass front and no mat.
