A fairy in a short gold dress dances above a fireworks display, wand raised, over the domes and minarets of the 1889 Exposition Universelle. Jules Chéret designed the poster for Le Pays des Fées, an 'enchanted garden' attraction at 31 avenue Rapp during the Paris world's fair of 1889. Printed by Chaix; the impression reproduced is in the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
This exhibition-poster edition shows the whole work beneath original typography set in-house. The original is in the public domain.
