A woman in a dark cape and a wide black hat, a white flower at her collar, holds a sprig of leaves in her gloved hands against a patterned ground, under the lettering Salon des Cent, 5e exposition, entrée 0.50, 31 rue Bonaparte. De Feure designed the poster in 1894 for the fifth exhibition at the gallery of the magazine La Plume, and the sharp profile, the flat ochre and the cape make it one of the most elegant of all the Salon des Cent posters. Printed by Bourgerie, Paris. The impression reproduced is in the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
This exhibition-poster edition shows the whole work beneath original typography set in-house. The original is in the public domain.
