The set
The Times of the Day appeared in 1899, each panel a woman in a landscape framed by an ornate Gothic arch: Morning Awakening among birch trees, Brightness of Day in full sun, Evening Contemplation at dusk, Night's Rest beneath the stars. The arched frames make it the most architectural of the sets and it hangs well where there is height.
