A young woman in a yellow coat and a hat with a huge orange bow strides forward with a cane across her shoulders, under the red title To-Day. Dudley Hardy designed the poster for To-Day, the twopenny weekly magazine edited by Jerome K. Jerome. This is plate 216 of Les Maîtres de l'Affiche, printed by Chaix in 1900.
This exhibition-poster edition shows the whole work beneath original typography set in-house. The original is in the public domain.
Where it works
Yellow, red and black on white, for a hallway, kitchen or home office at 12×18 or 16×24 in thin black, no mat. It lifts a white or pale grey wall and pairs with Hardy's A Gaiety Girl.
