A boy in a blue smock carves a wooden clog under the eye of an old craftsman in a workshop scattered with shavings. Tanner painted it in France in 1895, soon after The Banjo Lesson, and it shares that picture's theme of an older man passing a skill to a child. It is in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City.
This exhibition-poster edition shows the whole work beneath original typography set in-house. The original is in the public domain.
