On an off-white ground, a tilted green trapezium, a black vertical bar, a blue shape and a red triangle cluster together with a scatter of thin rods in red, yellow, grey and teal, as if the forms were drifting or falling through empty space. Nothing rests on a horizon; the white is open, weightless space. Malevich painted it around 1916, the year after he launched Suprematism at an exhibition of abstract paintings in Petrograd in December 1915, where he showed his Black Square. Suprematism, as he described it, sought the supremacy of pure feeling in art, using flat geometric forms freed from any object. Compositions like this one, with several forms held in dynamic balance, followed the single-shape pictures of the first months. It is in the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.

Size. We'd hang this one at 24×36. Prints at 12×18, 16×24, 24×36 in — 12×18 for a shelf, desk or a gallery-wall grid; 16×24 above a desk, console or in a hallway; 24×36 as the statement piece above a sofa or bed.
Framing. The gallery ground is part of the print, so frame it without a mat — natural wood flatters the lighter palette; black sharpens it.
Pairing. Pairs as a set of three with other famous painting prints (10% off three or more).
