The Dreamer
Gold, dusk and a little mystery: the Symbolists and Romantics.
You like a picture with a mood you can't quite name. The Symbolists and Romantics painted dreams, nerves and quiet rooms: Klimt's gold, Redon's flowers, Hammershøi's grey light, Friedrich's fog.
These works give a bedroom or a reading corner a sense of evening.
