Joanna Hiffernan, Whistler's companion and model, stands full length in a white dress against a white curtain, a lily in her hand and a wolf-skin rug at her feet. Rejected by the Royal Academy in 1862 and by the Paris Salon in 1863, it was the sensation of the Salon des Refusés that year, hung near Manet's Déjeuner sur l'herbe. Whistler later added the musical title to insist that it was an arrangement of colour, not a story. It is in the National Gallery of Art, Washington.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.

Framing. The gallery ground is part of the print, so frame it without a mat — dark wood flatters the lighter palette; black sharpens it.
Pairing. Pairs as a set of three with other famous painting prints (10% off three or more).
