A woman in a dark cape and a feathered hat, her face half hidden by a fur collar, stands in front of a street urchin and a wall of posters, holding a copy of the review, the title La Revue Blanche lettered in the lower half in Bonnard's own hand. Bonnard designed the poster in 1894 for the magazine of the Natanson brothers, which published the Nabis and the Symbolists; the model is Misia Natanson, and the brown, black and grey are printed in his loose lithographic crayon by Edw. Ancourt, Paris. It is the quietest of the Revue Blanche posters, a year before Toulouse-Lautrec's. The impression reproduced is in the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
This exhibition-poster edition shows the whole work beneath original typography set in-house. The original is in the public domain.
