A wedding party walks along a sunny village road at Giverny, the bride in a white veil on the arm of an older man in a top hat. It records the marriage in July 1892 of the American painter Theodore Butler to Suzanne Hoschedé, Monet's stepdaughter, which Robinson attended. Painted in bright, broken colour, it is one of the key pictures of the American colony at Giverny and belongs to the Terra Foundation for American Art, Chicago.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.
