A woman in white sits on the pale granite ledges at the south end of Appledore Island, Maine, looking out over a deep blue sea. Hassam returned to the Isles of Shoals for decades, and in his later pictures the rocks and water become a pattern of strong, thick strokes. It is in the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.

Framing. The gallery ground is part of the print, so frame it without a mat — dark wood flatters the lighter palette; black sharpens it.
Pairing. Pairs as a set of three with other famous painting prints (10% off three or more).
