A narrow street of brownstones in Manhattan lies under fresh snow, a horse-drawn cart and a few figures moving up it toward a pale, empty sky. Henri painted it in 1902, quickly and in a dark, limited palette, as an image of ordinary city weather rather than a picturesque view. It is in the National Gallery of Art, Washington.
