Two hunters sail a small boat with a big white sail across the wide, sparkling Delaware River, heading for the marshes where rail birds are shot at high tide. Eakins painted the sailing and hunting life of the Philadelphia rivers in the 1870s with the same care he gave his rowing pictures. This one is in the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.
