A white sloop with a patched mainsail runs across green-blue water off Nassau, a small red boat in the foreground and pink clouds behind. Homer painted it in watercolour on his 1898–99 winter in the Bahamas. The Metropolitan Museum of Art bought it in 1910.
This full-bleed edition prints the work edge to edge from a high-resolution scan of the original, very slightly cropped (a few percent at most) to fit the sheet. The gallery edition shows the whole work, uncropped. The original is in the public domain.
