Gnarled trunks lean in from both sides to form a green tunnel over a pale path, at the end of which a yellow façade, a dark doorway and a flash of red flowers wait in the light. The bark is drawn in thick blue, green and violet strokes with bold outlines, and the leaves are dense dabs of green. Klimt painted it in 1912 at the Attersee, the last of five views of Schloss Kammer and two of its park made during his summers in nearby Kammer from 1908. It is often called the work that shows Van Gogh's influence on him most directly. It is in the Belvedere, Vienna.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.
Where it works
Deep greens and blues with a glimpse of sunny yellow suit a hallway, a long living-room wall or a garden room on white or pale stone. Pair it with Van Gogh's Cypresses, hung at 24×36 in a dark wood frame.

Size. We'd hang this one at 24×36. Prints at 12×18, 16×24, 24×36 in — 12×18 for a shelf, desk or a gallery-wall grid; 16×24 above a desk, console or in a hallway; 24×36 as the statement piece above a sofa or bed.
Framing. The gallery ground is part of the print, so frame it without a mat — dark wood flatters the lighter palette; black sharpens it.
Pairing. Pairs as a set of three with other famous painting prints (10% off three or more).
