Paintings in the Rijksmuseum
The Dutch national collection, reproduced from the Rijksmuseum's own high-resolution scans.

The collection
The Rijksmuseum has occupied Pierre Cuypers's great building on the Museumplein since 1885 and reopened in 2013 after a ten-year rebuilding. The Night Watch hangs at the end of the Gallery of Honour, where Rembrandt and Vermeer face each other down the length of the room. The museum publishes its collection at very high resolution under open licences, which makes its paintings among the best-reproduced in the world.
The works here
Rembrandt's The Night Watch and The Jewish Bride; Vermeer's The Milkmaid and Woman in Blue Reading a Letter.
