The photographer Paul Sescau ducks under the black cloth of his camera to take the picture of a woman in a red dress and a wide hat who flees across the sheet, her hands raised; the address, 9 place Pigalle, runs along the top. Toulouse-Lautrec designed the poster in 1896 for his friend Sescau, who photographed many of his paintings and whom he teased for his pursuit of women. The pale green ground, the single red figure and the comic machine are printed in brush and spatter by Chaix, Paris. The impression reproduced is in the Bibliothèque nationale de France.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.

Size. We'd hang this one at 24×18. Prints at 16×12, 24×18, 32×24 in — 16×12 for a shelf, desk or a gallery-wall grid; 24×18 above a console or sideboard; 32×24 as the statement piece above a sofa or headboard.
Framing. The gallery ground is part of the print, so frame it without a mat — dark wood flatters the lighter palette; black sharpens it.
Pairing. Pairs as a set of three with other famous painting prints (10% off three or more).
