A small fair-haired child, seen in profile, is bundled in an orange jacket and a patchwork wrap of yellow, green, blue and grey, one bare hand stretched out to the left; the figure tips at an angle on a plain buff sheet with nothing beneath it. Schiele drew it in 1916 in gouache, watercolour and graphite. The sitter is his nephew Anton Peschka Jr., son of the painter Anton Peschka and Schiele's sister Gertrude, who married in 1914; the boy grew up to be a painter himself. The drawing has been in the Cleveland Museum of Art since 1964.
This print reproduces the whole work, uncropped, from a high-resolution scan of the original. The original is in the public domain.
Where it works
Orange, yellow and green on a plain buff sheet make a light, lively picture for a hallway, landing or a child's room. Pair it with Jawlensky's Young Girl with a Flowered Hat at 12×18 in a dark wood frame.

Size. We'd hang this one at 12×18. Prints at 12×18, 16×24, 24×36 in — 12×18 for a shelf, desk or a gallery-wall grid; 16×24 above a desk, console or in a hallway; 24×36 as the statement piece above a sofa or bed.
Framing. The gallery ground is part of the print, so frame it without a mat — dark wood flatters the lighter palette; black sharpens it.
Pairing. Pairs as a set of three with other famous painting prints (10% off three or more).
